AIR COVERED YARN（ACY）

Air covered yarns are made of bare spandex covering with various filament yarns such as polyester nylon and so on. It’s usually has single or double covering modes. Nylon covered yarn and polyester covered yarn are mainly used single covering mode.

Application: Air covered yarn mainly used in knitting machine, woven fabric, seamless underwear, sportswear, pantyhose, protective gear and knitted sweater etc.

Air covered yarn (English abbreviation: ACY) , Drafting the outer covering fiber and spandex yarn through specified type of nozzle at the same time, after regular pressure by high compressed air and then forming the yarn with regular intermingle points. The fabric knitted by air covered yarn will have soft and smooth hand feels.

Consider the cost alone, the capacity of air covered yarn is much higher than spandex conventional covered yarn, so the price of air covered yarn is cheaper than spandex conventional covered yarn, it’s convenient downstream factory to reduce the cost.
